This is considered an out of date browser. This website has been developed with modern browsers in mind to allow it to display at its best in a wide variety of viewing situations - including mobile viewing. I have created a series of short videos to answer the most common questions I get asked. My aim is to alleviate any concerns, as worrying creates stress which we all definitely need less of!
Please feel free to contact me if you have any other questions that I have not covered here.
Question: Where are your courses held?
Courses are held either at my home or your home. For home visits I can quote you a fuel cost which I will need to include. Depending on the distance, it may be worth considering a Skype connection. That way you won't have to leave the comfort of your home.
Question: Is the online course suitable for me?
If you have a good internet connection i.e. strong bandwidth and are able to remain undisturbed throughout each class, then an online course may be suitable. We can do a trial run to test it out in advance of you making any commitments.
Question: Do I need to take each class separately with at least a week apart?
This is the ideal scenario - it's more relaxed as nothing is rushed and you are able to practice in between sessions. However, if taking separate classes on a weekly basis is really not an option; then I can certainly discuss another format to fit in with your timescales.
Question: What is the ideal time to start the course?
Ideally, any time after 18 weeks of being pregnant. The sooner you start, the sooner your practice can begin.
Question: I'm in my third trimester; is it too late to start a course?
If you are in your third trimester and have only just discovered hypnobirthing; not to worry! Even if you have one week until your estimated due date, it is still possible to take the course and experience the benefits. I often discover that Mums who attend at a later stage are highly motivated and keen to spend the time they have remaining in frequent practice of the techniques.

Do you feel prepared for conception, pregnancy and birth?

We are doing well and feeling great thank you. Loving every minute!
Labour feels like a long time ago now but looking back I feel so lucky that everything resulted in a healthy, calm, contented baby. After the initial shock that I needed to be induced there and then I felt excited and knew we were prepared and ready for whatever path it took. The only way I can think to describe it is I felt like a super hero and my birth companion was my trusty sidekick! :-) sounds cheesy but knowing my birth companion was by my side and that he had the tools to support me made me feel safe and relaxed.
